Go. The local scuttlebut includes, "Is Ginger cooking? When is Ginger cooking?" Dinner is not served every night at Smokey Shadows Lodge, but when it is, you want to be there. Served family style, and usually themed, Ginger's dinners are always delicious and the company is grand. [24 Jan 2002 16:57:19]

Great Food I was at Smoky Shadows for my birthday and I must say everything was delicious! The entire meal was excellent. The most outstanding item was the tomato pie. [26 May 2003 21:03:42]

Pleasant Dining Experience Yes. The tomato pie is supreme. I love anything tomato (Can I have more fries with my ketchup please?) and when I heard this place had great tomato pie I had to get me some!!
By chance they were serving that night. I was not disappointed. I sat near some very interesting people from Germany, Lebanon, Scotland and locals. We shared a great meal and great stories. Ginger is a fine hostess and cook. If you are sociable, appreciate good home cooking and like country B&B atmosphere you have got to try the Smoky Shadows Lodge. Bring your own wine.
