A visit to Topsail Island wouldn't be complete without going to Daddy Mac's for dinner. The restaurant is clean, the staff friendly, and the food is terrific.

The hot crab dip as an appetizer is a must. The onion straws are also good but a little on the greasy side. The clam chowder is probably the best I've ever had; it has a very smooth texture and loaded with tender clams. The steaks are tender and perfectly cooked and the ribs literally fall off the bone. Scallops are huge and the amount is plentiful.

The prices are average & considering it is a beach front restaurant you could actually expect to pay more.    [12 Feb 2008 13:39:40]

Daddy Mac's is a beautiful ocean front restaurant and the food matches the view. Every time we have left happy. During the season the wait time can be 30 minutes to an hour, but with the oceanfront deck it passes quickly. The bar will gladly get your drinks ready while you wait. Recommended Dishes: Crab dip appetizer is exceptional. The steaks were very tender and cooked to perfection. The rib and shrimp combo were another one we liked. Shrimp and chicken tomato parmesan, and if on the menu (or ask) the fish in a bag.
