Where the locals eat This restaurant is advertised as the place where the locals eat. I understand why. The food was good and plentiful, the prices are very reasonable. Neat pictures on the walls of times past. Nothing fancy; just relax and enjoy the good eatin! [14 Dec 2005 15:25:05]

Clyde's going down hill fast This used to be the best restaurant for breakfast in the Waynesville area. We stopped for breakfast today (8/15/07) 8:30AM. The sausage was rancid and salty. The vegetable omlette was nothing but canned mushrooms.
The waitress that has been there for years is rude and insolent. The rest of the folks are very nice and I am sure the owner does not know what is hapening to this favorite eatery. Such a shame. Check this one off folks..... [15 Aug 2007 17:50:00]

You'll be sorry My husband and I ate there last night (8/23/07) much to our sorrow. I had heard about the good meats and veggies, especially the pork roast. The pork was similar to a frozen dinner meat, the mac and cheese was Kraft's, not homemade, canned beans, and the rolls were heated in the microwave and were hard as a brick. Flies were all around us, being zapped by a machine that rendered them lethargic, they'd land on our table before dying.
To the waitress's credit, she saw I did not eat much and asked why; then marked my meal off of the ticket. [24 Aug 2007 10:46:55]
