What a Dump
It sure seemed like a nice place as I waited patiently on a busy night. I thought any place this busy must be good. But no, once seated in their main dining room I was treated to the sight of waiters wrestling and cursing up a storm in their work area. That was just the beginning, the service was some of the worst I have ever had and the food was cold and over priced. When the manager came around asking how everything was, I could see him glaze over as I told him about my poor experience. His response was sorry to hear that and then he moved on to the next table. Very Poor Service, Snobby Staff
I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a pleasant dining experience. The food wasn't prepared properly, but more importantly the staff seemed like they were doing me a favor by serving me. I e-mailed the management and got no response.    [12 May 2004 14:34:29]

Elijah's is a place I HAVE to stop at each and EVERY time I go to Wilmington! I have never, ever been dissapointed by the service, staff, food, etc. I am shocked to read the negative reviews that were posted previously. I have only lived in the area for a year, so possibly they have changed management since then?

one drawback
Elijah's restaurant has some really great food.... well at least the stuffed pork chops are. That's all I've had the 3 times I've been. Once in the evening and twice for lunch: guess what; they're not on the lunch menu but the chef was nice enough to prepare them for us anyway. Always delicious. The wait staff was fine. Where do you get great service anymore???, certainly not at most dining establishments. So I'd say the wait staff was better than most.

The only drawback at Elijah's was the fat check.
