What A Find!
Whilst undertaking a mammoth east to west road trip across the US in just 3 weeks, and after 10 straight hours of driving a vehicle that handles like a 3 piece suite, the boys and I needed a good feed. Only one problem, we were heading to Chadron of all places! I’m not saying you can’t get a decent bite in Chadron, but without discussion I think we were all resigned to the fact that we would be having another processed meal from which ever junk food joint had set up shop there, so imagine our great surprise when we stumbled across an independent Chinese restaurant of all things. So what was the food like, the decor the service I hear you all ask? All important things to consider in a review. Not important things at all would be my answer, the fact that this restaurant exists in such a place is all that counts, where else are you going to get a Chinese meal. The simple fact is that it’s a Chinese, it’s in Chadron, and it’s the law that you must eat there if you’re within a hundred miles of the place. If so, expect some good food, good portion sizes, and a bottle of beer with your meal. The décor can be described as practical, making good use of Formica.
In reality it’s not the Ritz, but that night, we wouldn't have swapped a meal there for anything. What a find!    [26 Apr 2006 05:28:56]
