Sophisticated cuisine in a small Nebraska town The food at this restaurant is at the top of any cuisine I've sampled, which includes restaurants in places such as New Orleans, San Francisco, and Nice, France. From the outside and inside, appearances might suggest that a double cheeseburger might be the most sophisticated dish on the menu, but this restaurant proves that you can't judge a book by its cover. Please don't misunderstand, there is nothing wrong with the appearance or cleanliness...it is just plain. The chef, who is well-traveled and trained, returned home to open his own restaurant. A closed circuit TV in the corner shows the food being prepared. When asked the reason for it, the chef said, "I always wanted my own cooking show." The dress is casual, i.e., jeans, and the service is friendly and prompt. The waitress was very helpful in making recommendations. Personally, I have had chicken marsala and caribbean-style peanut-rubbed pork tenderloin. My wife has had pork tenderloin in apricot sauce and cedar plank-roasted salmon. All four of these dishes were fantastic. I have recommended this restaurant to many friends, and those who have gone have made a point of telling me how very much they have enjoyed their meals. The prices are extraordinary...I think the entrees were $13 to $15. Everything is homemade, and I'm told that the desserts are extremely good. I've been too full to try them, but I'm looking forward to the bread pudding with whiskey butter sauce! I can't believe what a wonderful restaurant this is. It is about 10 minutes west of Omaha, and whenever we've gone we have not had to wait on a table. If you go, I guarantee you won't be disappointed! [23 Nov 2003 20:52:46]

The best! This is the place to dine, a true pearl with often spectacular food and very reasonable prices. The service is professional and friendly, and we enjoyed the Chef's appearance for a greeting and a brief conversation about international cuisine. He obviously loves his job, and we loved his cuisine! [07 Dec 2003 02:30:01]

Excellent From the outside of the restuarant you would think this was your basic small town bar & grill. But looks are very deceiving. Inside we were treated to one of the best restrauant meals around, bar none.
We ate there late last Saturday. My wife and I both had the Rib Eye Steak dinner. We both thought that it was one of the best Rib Eye Steaks we have had ($15.99). Seasoning was perfect. Presentation was excellent with a mixed vegatable side that had excellent seasonings.
This is a family run establishment. The Chef, Bob Barr, came out to see how our meal was and took some time to chat with us, as did his wife. We found out that he spent many years teaching and running culinary schools in Denver and Minneapolis before coming back to Omaha to open a restuarant.
He really knows his craft. These are very nice people and we hope they are around for a long time. We plan on returning there often. [19 Apr 2004 16:57:39]

Wow! We headed to Buffalo Bob's Circle B on a recommendation from a friend. Since we had our young child with us we arrived early (5pm) and were seated right away. We loved that we were able to watch the closed-circuit TV and see the chef prepare our meals. I had the cedar plank roasted salmon and was in total amazement at the perfect texture and full flavor of the dish. The chef created a beef marsala dish for my husband that also was absolutely fantastic. We have eaten at very high-priced restaurants in NY, Chicago, San Francisco, and elsewhere, and have not been as impressed at times. For a wonderful, healthy- portioned meal that is very reasonably priced, we will return again and again. The chef even came out to say hello, and told us about the history of the building that houses the restaurant. We've recommended this gem to many friends! [08 Sep 2004 20:29:18]
