Spilled soup isn't fun ! I ordered a 1/2 sandwich, soda and small soup for lunch, was told it would arrive at 12:15-12:30 (my phone call was made at 11:22) which was a surprise that it was going to take an hour but I said nothing to the woman on the phone. After hanging up, I decided the long wait would allow me to get into a meeting which was to end at 12:00. Wrong. I was paged at 11:43 that In A Pinch is here with your lunch! I missed the end of the meeting, met with the delivery person in our lobby who handed me a very tiny lunch bag split up one corner from the dripping soup inside. On top of seeing this, I actually tipped him $1.60! As I arrived in my office for lunch with the bag, as I set it down on my desk to remove the items, the corner finished splitting and the sandwich and soda fell out. The wrapping on my sandwich was covered with tomatoe parm soup and after wiping up as much of it as I could, realized there was no eating utensils provided. I phoned In A Pinch and spoke with "Ruby" who could have cared less. She responded with, "could you say that again?" I repeated my story and she asked what were "eating utensils?" I exclaimed, "a spoon"! To eat my soup, I'd need a spoon, should I ask for one in the future? She replied with that attitude that cashiers have when they're being "bothered", "ah, okay." I said, "Okay? What do I do"? She said "ah, sorry bout that do you want a credit?" I asked for no credit but also asked that someone in a supervisory position be made aware of this mess as we hung up. [26 Jun 2003 12:03:37]

nice friendly place I found In a Pinch a year ago, since then I have been going there daily for my morning coffee on the way to work, the 2 girls at the front counter, Rosemary and Rubie always have my coffee and daily addiction of a poppy seed muffin waiting for me, I couldn't praise this quaint little place any more, its a tiny pleasure that all should endulge in. Best Cafe In Town The In A Pinch Cafe is a locally owned cafe about one mile from Downtown Concord and is worth the visit! It has a small cafe atmosphere and serves delicious deli-style sandwiches and incredible baked goods.
In A Pinch is a local favorite and can get very busy during lunch time. The staff is courteous and the kitchen prepares food fast. One great thing about the cafe is the wide selection of "to-go" salads. The portions are generous, the prices fair and they offer seasonal daily specials.
The only downside to the cafe is their location. They have a small parking lot and there is usually a queue waiting for a space (because the food is worth the wait!). The dining area is also small, but most people do not eat in the dining room because they offer delivery, take-out and catering services. They also offer plenty of delicious vegetarian options.
The cafe serves both light breakfast (bagels, etc.) and lunch. Check our their menu online and stop by! [25 Jan 2005 11:49:30]

Rude People I have to agree with the above email regarding the service I have received from In A Pinch. Most of the female staff is rude. Paula the owner is a peach. It's hard to find good help. In the food service industry there seems to be so many dyfunctional people. The food there is very good and that is the main reason I do go back. The food is consistantly good and they introduce seasonal items. [09 Aug 2005 14:03:28]
