Iced teas please 5 Olde is famous among Dartmouth Alumni for their Long Island Iced Teas, powerful drinks served up in pint glasses, and for many one is enough, for the hardened it's a bragging matter. The pub fare supports the booze, with your usual standards. [23 Sep 2003 14:18:52]

Dark dungeon Awesome burgers, great margaritas. We were just passing through the area & really didn't know where to go. We were a little creeped out at first because of it's dungeon like atmosphere, but everyone was very friendly and fun. The groundhog was cool. [08 May 2006 12:30:19]

Now floundering but worth salvaging Went on a 'dead' or 'slow' day with few/no other customers there. Restaurant is tomb like w/o people there; am sure it must be better later at night with drinking crowd.
Food was actually good (steak and sandwich done right), and good drinks and not pricey. Great and enthusiastic server. Great and enthusiastic chef.
Good location. Main 'kitchen nightmare' gripe is that main dining room beyond the bar (I know, not the point in a boozer, but still) needs a refit *now*. I like the cellar/'dive' vibe, but on a (very) rainy day brown rainwater was leaking from ceiling into bucket, and place smelled a bit moldy/off. Staff was doing more than 100% to cope with the trouble, but needed some help.
Left thinking that the place should be fixed up (but not too much: Molly's and Murphy's are already doing the over-gentrified thing). This place can be turned around in time before it becomes road-kill from the very similar (but pricier) burger/steak competition at Molly's and Murphy's (literally) just around the corner.
