Best Indian Food in Hanover
I began eating Indian food here 10 years ago and have since been around the country sampling the dishes I learned to love at Jewel. The setting is nice and their menu is extensive. The staff is friendly enough, if somewhat business-like.    [03 Jan 2005 20:46:58]

Fresh Ingrediants
I have been dining at the Jewel for 6 years. In that time I have lived in Eugene, Portland, New York City, and traveled in between sampling other Indian across the country. I find Babeers cooking focuses on using fresh ingredients, premium butters, and nothing is pre-packaged. It's a family owned business and Babeer, the owner, trains all of his cooks himself. The spices are well balanced and the portions are more than sufficient (one dish, a bread and an appetizer serves two with leftovers).
