Worst Chinese food ever Not only was the packaging awful for take-out, (flimsy styrofoam containers that ripped and bent when held, thereby spilling on my floor) but the food itself was barely edible. I found it to be a lot worse than the fast food Asian places you find at airports, like Wok and Roll.My food was so bad that I couldn't eat it; it was too greasy and bland and made me queasy afterwards. Even their edamame, which is pretty hard to mess up, was bad. I don't know what this restaurant's problem is, but I will never, ever go back. [12 May 2006 13:55:54]

Disgruntled Diner
Rebuttal to I have been eating in and ordering out from this restaurant for nearly thirteen years. While I have had one or two "mediocre" meals from them the reason for the mediocrity was due only to the length of time it took for us to get to our take out meal. I have never had a bad meal from Peking Tokyo. The containers used by them are standard fare for thousands of restaurants across the country. I don't really see the point in blaming the restaurant for not handling packages with care. I have never spilled my food from them except in cases of my own carelessnes. I cannot comment on the sushi. I don't eat sushi. All dishes we have ordered from them have been the highest quality I would expect for the price charged. I recommend them highly. Ask for the Orange Scallops. It's not on the menu, but they will make it. [31 Dec 2006 21:33:58]

13 Years Peking Tokyo wasn't open thirteen years ago. I don't know how you could have been eating there thirteen years.
They're okay. [28 Apr 2007 00:02:04]

They used to be good....once. We have been buying food from P/T since they opened. They were a nice alternative to Panda House in Hanover, which (when they were still in business) was far superior, but a longer drive for us. Today,7/5/07, we returned to P/T for our Thursday Asian lunch, and were deeply disappointed with what we recieved. Sushi; cut way too thin, the rice was like a brick and it wasn't seasoned. Teriyaki Beef; no char, hardly marinated. Egg Roll; Doughy and mostly heavy cuts of cabbage. Tasted frozen. The most disappointing thing was the General Gau's Chicken. I know that it is really bad for you, but when it is prepared properly, It's food for the gods. What I got today was like fried chicken nuggets that had been stewing in a honey sauce for hours. What crap. No Broccoli, No hot peppers, No light, sweet, wonderful sauce. The sauce was like duck sauce. Absolutely horrible. Chun King has it all over these guys. I hate to say it but they have really lost their edge. I won't be returning. [05 Jul 2007 19:36:20]

Peking Tokyo While it may have declined in recent years, it still is the best Chinese Restaurant IMHO within 50 miles of West Lebanon. You want bad Chinese? Peking-Tokyo is way above average, and my favorite spot in the Upper Valley. [21 Nov 2007 17:33:54]

This is ironic, as we ate at PT for the first time recently while being treated at DHMC. It was the best Asian food we had ever eaten. The vegetarian sushi was exquisite, the orange chicken to die for, and the large shrimp in garlic sauce was perfect, the miso soup and won-ton soup were as good as any we have had. I was in the process of sending them a thank you note when I found this site. [27 Jul 2008 19:58:43]
