Bad attitude We have been there four times. The first two times things went well. I am not sure but I think there is a new owner or manager? The last two times we attempted to eat there we walked out. The most recent occassion we asked if we could sit at the outside tables, the short older lady said "No, there are no tables left outside" in a very cold curt manner. I was taken back abit but gingerly pushed on. I hesitantly asked if she knew how long it would be, she again barked "no". The other people and I looked at each other in amazement, I thought for a moment then feeling totally embarrased and afraid to ask anything else from that lady, we left. [27 Jul 2003 19:32:48]

Great foof and micro brew. For breakfast in the Clement room the best and biggest sticky buns. For lunch I dare you to finish a sandwich in the station. For beer my favorite is White Mountain Weasel Wheat, my daughter likes K & M root beer. [07 Aug 2003 15:04:52]

Great family dining Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, this backwoods restaurant boasts a broad menu and creative dishes. Features family dining in attractively decorated rooms. Service is slow but polite. [07 Aug 2004 09:08:38]

Save your money The service was great, but the food was awful. They charge big city prices but don't deliver the quality.
You're better off either staying and cooking yourself or going to the Greek restaurant down the street.
Also, don't believe the hype about the views from the balcony. They are kitty corner to Cascades Park (which is very small) and you cannot see the river only parkerd cars on the street. [13 Aug 2004 20:47:23]

Needs new management Annual visits to this Inn show a steady decline in food quality and service. Poor management and disgruntled staff make for long waits and cold food when finally served. Soggy French fries and hot sandwiches with cold interiors make for a distinctly unattractive meal taken from the upscale menu. [30 May 2005 08:44:40]

Best in the Valley With 1/2 price appetizers everyday from 3-5 at the bar and the new $9.99 dining room specials the management has found even new ways to entice hungry patrons looking for large portions and delicious food in this busy place. One may eat in the outdoor perennial gardens during summers with an ambiance that can only be found here. They brew the finest ales & beers I ever tasted anywhere and have a 60" plasma h.d. tv in the main bar and smaller one in the brewery bar. Ask for the "Cask Wassail" (only if you delight in strong ale) when in season. The night life is superb with the best bands in the area.
It's a very bustling, busy place, that you just might need to wait patiently for a dinner table. You'll receive great ale, great food, great selection, large portions, very reasonable prices for the entrees, 1/2 price appetizers 3-5, smiling faces on the very attentive waitresses, and a Magic Sunday Brunch (in season) with more than 30 selections to choose from for a mere $13.95. I love their brunch of prime rib, lasagna, salmon, salad, fruits, heavenly desserts, and much more with the chef preparing custom made omelets as you watch. I enjoy everything about this wonderful place so much I visit several times each week. Try it once and you'll feel like I do. [31 Jul 2008 12:20:56]
