Small Cafe with Huge Taste We stumbled upon Blue Cactus while going for a leisurely drive. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the service was impeccable.
The extensive menu features many homemade items that you do not normally find on a traditional Southwestern style menu. We were exceptionally delighted with the black bean cake appetizer with chipolte sour cream.
I was impressed that the Blue Cactus offers many vegetarian dishes, but by no means is this a vegetarian restaurant! There is a nice selection of chicken, beef, buffalo, and seafood entrees, many varieties of burgers and chili.
Whether you want a full meal or a light bite, you will find something to satisfy your taste! You will not go away hungry from the Blue Cactus! [05 Aug 2004 12:32:09]

Under New Ownership We recently re-visited Blue Cactus after learning it was under new ownership. We were disappointed. The service was extremely poor, mainly high school students who have no clue about customer service who seemed more interested in hanging out at the counter then paying attention to customers.
The quality of food was so-so. While the menu has changed somewhat, we found the quality to have gone downhill.
It is sad that what used to be a great getaway cafe has become nothing more than mediocre. [12 Jul 2006 15:53:57]
