Description
Cavernous and noisy, and sometimes a long wait for a table, but the food and wine are worth it. Extensive menu; large portions of healthful and tasty food. Top wine list. A short drive from the Meadowlands.

P&O the way to go Great Jersey restaurant. We need more; each town in Jersey should have one!
Simple, modern menu. Continental to Fusion. Dinner for two without booze under comes in around $50 with 20% tip.
Just go. [24 Dec 2002 10:46:36]

About the Park & Orchard Park and Orchard is a great place to eat. I was so happy that I was given a gift certificate to have dinner there for the first time. Now I'm hooked! I have not found any restaurant that has such a nice selection of vegetarian food. [13 Jan 2003 23:08:45]

Never a bad experience I've lived just a few blocks from Park & Orchard for a few years now, and any time I have guests coming from out of town, or just want to go out and enjoy a good meal, I go there! The wine and beer selection can't be beat, and the food is always fresh and delicious. It's always difficult choosing from the menu because every new dish I try is even more and more wonderful.
Hands down, this is my favorite restaurant. [15 Jun 2003 21:58:07]

I've always loved P & O !! Awesome deserts, excellent dishes (Ants on a Stick, Crawfish Pasta, and Mark's Fire Chicken are my favorites of their original dishes), and a beer & wine list so big, it's not called a list, it's called THE BOOK. Literally. It's in a 2" thick binder. And the portions are oversized (the duck and pheasant are the only exceptions I can remember).
I started working at P&O right out of high school (Rutherford, class of '92), and I live in Florida now. I've been to 7 different states, and I've never found any restaurant that's even come close to the P&O. I love this restaurant!
Just so you know though -- this place isn't what it is because of clientele or ambiance. It's a big open space. The art isn't on the walls... it's on your plates! [17 Dec 2003 22:44:12]
