Just Like Portugal This is a very friendly bar & restaurant, much like you would find in Portugal. We had extremely fresh and high-quality seafood both barbequed over charcoal, and in a delicious Mariscada en Salsa Verde. Other people in our party had barbequed chicken, beef ribs, and pork ribs. Everything was of the highest quality and perfectly prepared. Homemade Desserts. [10 Aug 2003 22:22:49]

I totally agree with the previous reviewer Fabulous, friendly/knowledgeable staff, fresh food beautifully prepared/presented. We had the grilled snapper, the Mariscada en Salsa Verde the first time and then returned the next day for the Alentejana (Pork bits with clam) and roast chicken Both meals were fabulous. Also try the Casal Garcia white Portuguese wine (light, slightly effervescent) and the Serradura (cookies and cream) dessert light, melts in your mouth. Everything was excellent. Nice place I don't want to knock the town of Elizabeth, NJ, but there are not a lot of very good restaurants close to the Jersey Gardens Factory Outlet Mall (don't count the franchise type places like Ruby Tuesday, etc.). Being from Montreal which has a lot of very good restaurants, I found this excellent Portuguese restaurant. We ordered the large Paella Marinara (seafood with rice served in a pot) and it was excellent. I would recommend this place to people who like BBQ & seafood dishes. The prices are very good. I will definitely return to try some of their other dishes. [23 Jun 2007 22:12:04]
