Firkin is Fantastic! This restaurant is great. The food is outstanding and the portions are huge. you wont find portions this size for these prices anywhere else. The bar is great. lots of beers to choose from. good times in the game room. Lots to do. All around, the firkin tavern is a great time! [25 Jan 2006 00:32:14]

Firkin Tavern staff is Firkin Slow We waited way to long to get a beer, and watched the bartender stuffing her tip jar. [08 May 2006 15:28:45]

Horrible Food, Horrible Service, Rude Manager First off. Don't go there. There are many great places to eat in Ewing. Firkin's is not one of them. The service is slow and usually screws up the order. The bartending staff is rude and slow as well. The place smells bad for a resturant as well. I had a small question for the manager and some short man in a T-shirt & Jeans, and uncombed hair was extremely rude, and aggresive towards me when I had a question about my order. I was not complaining just ask about my order, and I was treated like I was trying rob the place.
NEVER go there. What a horrible time and night. [28 Jan 2007 10:11:15]

Saturday Night Manager A large group of us came in there with alumni from TCNJ's rugby team. Many drove over 2 hours for this event which happens once a year. The oldest member of our team was one of the few people ID'd by the manager. A veteran of the first Iraqi War, my friend presents his military ID and does not have his license. This jerk would not let him in the bar, and made him stand in the doorway. Then, at 10pm he makes him leave stating that restaraunt portion was now closed. He, and everyone else he drove in the car with were forced to get in their cars and drive home. Their food was poor, the service was poor, and the manager should have called the police to verify the ID. Oh, and while he was so intent on harassing members of our party, about four underaged girls snuck in and got served without a problem. [28 Jan 2007 23:54:45]

This bar is good except for manager One time will be the last because some short, jerky manager decided he wanted to give me an attitude! I had problems with my food and since I took two bites of it, he still made me pay for it. The server Matt, was awesome. Someone needs to take charge of the short guy! [10 Jul 2007 12:26:10]

The short manager is now gone and the rude horrible bartender was fired so now I love Firkin Tavern again. The food is great even though the chef is an awful person. The portions are a great value, the service is excellent, the managment staff is on the ball, the back room is so much fun and the bar has 24 beers on tap so you can't go wrong! Firkin is a good time. I've never had the food there, but I've had a few great nights there with friends. The game room is a lot of fun, the number of taps is varied and rotating, and the bartenders have never been anything but nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable to me. If you are in the Ewing area, don't mind a loud crowd and raucous music, and enjoy beer, you can't go too far wrong with the Firkin. [13 Mar 2008 15:13:40]
