Happy Surprise Although the place is small, just a few minutes' wait will get you seated. The food is well prepared, with service provided by a helpful young woman. Overall a happy and satisfied experience. [13 Feb 2000 00:06:32]

Canterbury Corner gone Portuguese by night Had the most amazing dining experience over the weekend. Saw an ad indicating that the Tea Room is offering Porteguese Dining Friday and Saturday nights only. Being a fanatic and usually having to go to Newark for this type of fare we rushed in. Had the dinner of a lifetime. From the appetizers (grilled shrimp in garlic and oil, and a flaming piece of chorizo that was out of this world) to our entrees (Pork loin that could of fed four people served with the best mashed potatoes I ever had, and Mariscada that we couldn't stop dipping the marvelous Portuguese bread in) Bravo! This is definitely Flemington's best kept secret. Its BYOB too and the family that runs this is very very friendly. The only thing this place lacked with a little Spanish music playing in the background to take away from the Tea Room atmosphere otherwise, Bravo!!! [27 Mar 2006 10:24:44]
