Great Food & Service!!!
I have to say, that the Union Hotel is one of the best restaurants in Hunterdon County. If you are looking for a good meal with great service, this is a great place to take family and friends.    [16 Jan 2002 12:54:44]

Great place!
My husband and I love the Union, we go there every chance we have with friends. The staff is always very friendly, service is prompt, it's quiet, and there are lots of menu options. Try the boneless wings, chicken prosciutto, vegetarian sandwich, surf and turf...    [01 Nov 2002 09:56:45]

Not Accessible
People with disabilities can not gain access to the building or the restaurant. It was brought to the owners attention and still renovations have not been made. Shame on them!!    [08 Jul 2003 12:54:07]

Never again
I am a life long Flemington resident, and I find nothing great about the Union Hotel. I have eaten there a few times and I have found the service to be fair to poor, the portions are very small and the price very high. The quality of the food I found to be nothing great either. If you want to spend a lot for nothing but perhaps an evening on someones porch then maybe this is for you, otherwise save your money.    [04 Dec 2003 13:25:37]

The only show in town
The Union Hotel has amazing potential and that is what is so frustrating to the locals. Great location, big front porch, great bar room, and much charm. Until you get airline food you have to pay for. The service is good but who cares? Break out the wallet and get a good cook. I'm not even asking for a chef! It's almost as if they are trying to ruin their business. How about some live music on weekend nights?    [10 Aug 2004 12:25:19]

Nice place
Union Hotel is a good place for a party. The food is great, and the rooms are beautiful. Everytime I go I get good service, too. The owner and managers are friendly and thoughtful. If you want to have good time, try Union Hotel.    [28 Sep 2004 19:20:57]

Wonderful Establishment
I love the Union Hotel! The food is delicious, and the portions are huge! You always get what you pay for. The owner and managers are always friendly and the service is the best in town.    [16 Oct 2005 01:06:24]

Went looking for ghosts but found charm and good food instead
We read about the Union Hotel in a book about New Jersey ghosts. Then we found a couple ratings for it online. We also looked at their menu at their website and it sounded good. So we tried it tonight, Sunday Jan 6th. The place had a lot of nice woodwork. Looked like a great bar. Could use some new carpet. It had charm. However the place was empty.

I had the Tropical Tini martini (very good), the french onion soup (good), a salad (fresh) and the lobster ravioli (very good) and bread (good).

My partner had a glass of wine (very good), the dual lobsters stuffed with crab (excellent) baked potato (very good) and steamed veggies (good).

Service was excellent. I don't remember the waitress's name, but she's getting married in May.

I was surprised there were not more people in the place. I would go back. Maybe the ghosts have scared people away, but we didn't see any!    [08 Jan 2007 01:23:50]
