The etched glass, polished oak, gleaming brass and antiques of Lambertville's restored 19th-century train station on the bank of the Delaware River make it a tasteful backdrop for Lambertville Station's renowned variations on American cuisine.

Very good food Food was as close to perfect as one could expect, service was the best. The serviceperson was there when needed, did not stand over us, and was very helpful, happy, and caring. Everything was clean, but a train station. [10 Feb 2000 20:01:30]

Lambertville Station Has Great Ambiance We love dining in converted train stations. This one is one of the best. It's beautifully restored and the food is as good as the atmosphere. The entrees are all American but with a bit of a twist which makes them all the more exceptional. Really loved the salmon and they provide this coconut bread that is just heavenly. (Trying to get the recipe!) [07 Jul 2005 14:08:29]

Best Location and Setting What we liked best about this place was its location -- right in the heart of Lambertville and at the foot of the bridge to New Hope, both great towns for shopping, antiques, etc. The restaurant is casual but has a nice elegant feel to it. The entrees we had were wonderfully prepared -- always nice when the food tastes as good as it looks. [14 Aug 2005 09:07:01]

Great Salmon Dish I've eaten at Lambertville Station before and always found it to be a solid restaurant that has a menu that appeals to anyone's taste, and always did a good job. It is also a favorite of both my family and my husband's family when they come to Lambertville to visit us.
This evening we sat outside. Although it was August, we were a little chilly, which is unusual for this time of year. Other than that, it was lovely sitting next to the canal while dining.
This was the first time I ordered the salmon and was extremely pleased. I enjoyed the salty, crunchy crust, which did not overwealm the fish. It was so good, I finished it, which is unusual for me.
Other diners enjoyed their steaks with mushroom gravy on the side. Our youngest diner (15 year old) fully enjoyed his steak and ceasar salad, as well as speaking with our waiter about some of the rich the history of the area. [26 Aug 2005 12:52:19]

Mediocre Food and Service Maybe we were here on a bad night, but this restaurant is very mediocre which was disappointing because it has the appearance of being a great place. Our entrees were bland; you could get better at a chain like TGI Friday or Bennigan's. The service was slow. The wine list is limited and features mostly cheaper, California wines. Not exactly some place you want to go for a special night on the town. [06 Feb 2006 20:41:20]

Twilight Zone My boyfriend and I visit the Lambertville area once or twice a year. We had always wanted to experience dining in the Lambertville Station and on our last visit in October, we finally did. What a tremendous disappointment it was.
The hostess was incredibly rude; she ignored us and when we were finally acknowledged she was very abrupt. We were in for a very early dinner -- about 4 p.m. on a Saturday -- the place was almost empty. When we were finally seated in the right area, we had the entertainment of dealing with the wait staff from the Twilight Zone. Everything took forever! We could see the bar from where we were seated and we watched our waiter hang out by the bar several times. Our food took just under half an hour to arrive, this coming with no apology, no explanation and worst of all, our waiter was hanging out and walking around the restaurant which now had maybe four other tables full. It wasn't just us... as other people arrived we saw the same frustrations. The wrong drinks were served, tables were ignored. The service was awful and very strange. The Station is beautiful... it really takes your breath away... so does the horror of the service. [14 Nov 2006 09:24:49]

Horrible Food I ate at this establishment on Saturday night this week. I came with family from out of town due to reputation that they have manufactured for themselves.
Our food was horrible, absolutely horrible. The drinks were good; the service excellent. The soups were good, though covering a french onion with cheese is disservice to a great soup. I applaud them for that.
There was a fruit fly in my mother-in-law's wine. We had butter sitting on the table for 15 minutes with no bread. Our food came out in waves even though there were only four at our table. The spinach ravioli special was watered down and soggy. The Napoleon was drab with little excitement beyond a rosemary garnish and balsamic dripping. The veal was flavorless, and my dish was the worst.
The 'flash fried crab cakes' were clearly shake-n-bake. The 'wild rice pilaf' lazily thrown on to the plate with little more flavor than a pack of Rice-o-Roni and the 'seasonal vegetables' were clearly not from the fall season and were undercooked and cold. All the while an obnoxious guest filled the dining room with his noise while we didn't enjoy our overpriced meal. I expressed our displeasure to our waiter who was gracious, though a manager NEVER checked on our table.
I regret my dining experience at the Lambertville Station and plan to communicate my displeasure to as many people as possible in hopes that they will make some serious changes in management and cuisine. [22 Oct 2007 00:06:07]

Awful place I tried booking a reservation for a large group and was told that the rate per person would be higher by 20% because of the large size! I had tried reaching a person about reservations for several days and had left a message and did not receive any call back until after many days of repeatedly calling to reach someone. Apparently my business was not welcome. [19 Dec 2007 19:30:49]
