Superb Dining in a Wonderful, Warm Atmosphere The Oyster House is by far our favorite restaurant. Owned by the chef and his sister, who is also the pastry chef, the Oyster House consistently suprises with innovative and interesting seafood preparations. Quality of ingredients - only the absolute freshest will do - and passion for his work sets apart Chef Ed Coss' creations. Chef Ed personally cooks every dinner. The atmosphere of this 40-seat BYOB is relaxed, friendly and open - everyone is made to feel a welcome guest, and after just a few visits, one becomes very much a friend and part of the family.
Special treats include Ed's always-changing preparations of sushi-grade tuna, the most tender and succulent sea scallops, and his steamed Prince Edward Island mussels - in some of the most imaginative broths one can imagine (last night: wasabi and soy). Save room for dessert - Amy's creations are always delightful. Recently, we've enjoyed her warmed chocolate pecan brownie with vanilla ice cream, and her delightful cheesecake.
We frequent the Oyster House at least once a week. Be ready for a wait on popular weekend evenings, as reservations are not accepted except for large parties [31 Dec 1999 09:40:10]

Consistently good I thought I'd add an update since this restaurant has not been reviewed in this century :-)
The Oyster House is excellent. My wife and I go out often, and we regularly return there. What more can you say? There is always something interesting on the menu, and the bartender knows what he's about to boot.
By the way you can get reservations for two these days, as long as you call early enough. [12 May 2007 12:35:29]
