The best Crab Cakes I have ever eaten. No filler, all crabmeat. Excellent. [01 Aug 2006 12:13:46]

The worst We were greeted by the hostess who said that we could either sit at the tables or at the bar. We noticed that there was no one at the tables, so we followed her to the last two seats at the bar. We were surprised that she took one of the seats for herself, so we went back to the tables. While waiting for our waitress, I visited the Men’s room. Coming out I decided to check out the upstairs. My wife saw me go up the stairs and followed. I was greeted by a young man that asked if I would like to be seated, so we decided to stay there. The hostess came up later and yelled at the young man, and told us that she would seat us, and that this is not a diner. (I'm still not sure what that meant -– most diners ask to seat you). Upon leaving the restaurant, the hostess got off the bar stool to ask us about dinner. I said that it was OK. She asked what we had. I told her that I had the duck and my wife had (an awful) salmon. She asked me what was wrong with the duck. I said that it was a little fatty. She yelled for her husband behind the bar. He came over and told me that this was the best Canadian duck you can get. At this point I put up my hands in surrender and told them everything was fine. The hostess then really surprised us -– she said "If you ever come back, and I’m sure you won’t, I will not seat you”. No wonder there was only one other couple having dinner there on a Saturday night. [29 Sep 2008 18:12:29]
