Best Italian in Paramus, by far. I've been eating at Bensi for years, and the addition of the Paramus location was like a breath of fresh air. Their menu is a cross between Manhattan & Mama's house, the best of both worlds, with the prices set at a very affordable rate.
If you haven't been there, you're missing out on a great culinary experience! [10 May 2006 11:52:01]

Best Family Italian in Town! Our family of three (my husband, myself, and our 16 month old son) definitely consider this our favorite local italian restaurant these days. We are surrounded by mediocre italian restaurants, and were delighted to find Bensi - so far everything we've tried has been great and the service has been wonderful. [11 May 2006 08:59:44]

Refreshing experience I was visiting NJ from London. I was recommended Bensi by a 'friend' for casual dining and good value for money. I enjoyed every minute there. The staff was very pleasant and helpful, the service attentive and efficient and the food excellent. I would certainly recommend it for any occassion, whether a quick working lunch or a family dinner. [19 Jun 2006 09:23:32]

Diner quality food and lousy service Went last night with my wife and parents. We were seated promptly and then promptly ignored. No one came to take our drink orders. Bread was dropped, but no water or drinks. Finally someone came to take our orders. Service was ridiculously slow, requests had to be made multiple times for sugar for the iced teas, olive oil for the bread etc. The red pepper my father requested never came at all. Don't even get me started on the wine issue. Anyway, the food did eventually come out, (although two dishes at a time, and the sides came out ages after the mains) and it was mediocre at best. The whole experience was terrible. I would never eat there again. [07 Aug 2006 08:29:31]

Wonderful! I had lunch there, and it was absolutely wonderful! The food and the bread was fabulous, and the staff was extremely friendly. The prices were good, too. I would definitely recommend this place -- as a matter of fact, I'm going there for dinner tonight! [29 Aug 2006 14:59:59]

Went early so should have gotten outstanding service but did not. More servers than customers at the time... this needs to be addressed. Bread is outstanding and will bring me back. [07 Oct 2006 12:25:52]

I Eat There Almost Everyday I have worked in Paramus Park for 8 years and the arrival of Bensi has been an answer to my prayers. Some of the places in the food court are okay, though get boring after a while. Now I get to eat great food everyday without having to spend a lot of money. Service is friendly and quick. I have never been disappointed. From the french fries and chicken fingers to the Linguini Pesto and Steaks it's all good. You have got to try this place. [12 Nov 2006 15:43:36]

A great experience Visited Bensi of Hillsdale the other night and I must say the food was great. The pasta is second to none and it was certainly made to order. I also enjoyed the Lava Explosion. The restaurant was very busy but I was seated in a reasonable amount of time and the staff was courteous. Next time I plan on trying the seabass. [12 Mar 2007 01:04:23]

Pretty good We just went to the new Bensi that opened in Clifton. It was PACKED both inside and outside. The prices are moderate. The service was good and the wait staff seemed eager to please. Drinks are a bit pricey ($4.75 Coors Light). The food was good, hot, and well presented. We ordered pasta and got so much that I took half of mine home. [07 Jun 2007 05:43:53]

Great food for a great price My family dines at Bensi in Parmaus at least once a week. The food is great for the price, the restaurant is clean and stylish and the staff is friendly and the manager always knows your name. We feel right at home and always recommend it to our friends. The service has always been good and whoever said it was diner food must eat ate some darn good diners!! The specials are like they are from a five star restaurant for a third of the price. This is one of our favorite restaurants these days! [19 Jun 2007 23:30:34]
