Live Animal Acts The food was typical Indian buffet fare, albeit a bit greasy, with a very limited food selection for the money. Having seen past reviews, I expected a bit better. Both my friend and I experienced serious upset stomachs, which has never happened after eating other Indian food. They hadn't mentioned that there was evening entertainment, so it was to my surprise to see a fluffy mouse climbing the restaurant's curtains. The waiter blamed it on the grocery store next door.
An associate of mine had been there two years prior and had found a pewter ring in her salad. The manager practically accused her of placing the ring in the salad, saying that the staff did not wear rings.
So... if you want a place where the food isn't that bad and you enjoy being insulted... this is the place. Bon Appetit! [21 Apr 2000 12:13:57]

Luncheon Buffet Over the past few years I have been to this restaurant for lunch several times. The variety of dishes on the buffet is somewhat limited, however, the food is wholesome and well prepared. The service is polite and efficient. All in all good value for the money. [18 Feb 2002 07:19:39]

Great Place I was reading the below reviews and it seems like they were talking about a different place. Chand Palace is very inviting. The ambiance is the quiet music in the background and the company at your table. The walls are adorned with Indian pictures. The staff and service is very nice.
The lunch buffet is a great value for the price. [06 Oct 2002 12:39:58]

Awful service and food We were at this restaurant a few days ago and had a horrible experience. Not only did four people out of our party of six get sick with an upset stomach, we saw a live roach on the buffet table running all over the place and when we complained to the waiter he just shoved it aside and pretended it was all part of a routine. The food was greasy and tasteless, filled with sour cream. Anyway,we could not eat after witnessing firsthand the roach episode. Complained to the manager/owner on our way out who just whipped out that there are no roaches on the premises. Get real! [22 Apr 2005 21:10:07]

Terrible food All food tasted the same. The roti was undercooked and chewy. The tables are too close in small space... other patrons touch you or bump into you as you eat that greasy tasteless food. [24 May 2007 17:36:28]
