Outstanding
We stumbled upon this place after a 20-mile bike ride to Easton, PA. Needing some lunch before turning around for the return trip, we saw the owner putting white tablecloths out on their sidewalk tables. Turns out they weren't due to open for another 50 minutes, but he opened for us right then. We split two appetizers and one entree (cited below) and they were awesome. Plus, the service was great, the owner was very friendly and gave us a rundown on the area. We will probably drive from Philly sometime to visit this spot again; it's worth the trip.    [14 Jun 2004 08:56:49]

Electic and Wonderful
Finally creative American cuisine in the Lehigh Valley. A wonderful place to dine with a cozy atmosphere. Dishes are a little different if your not used to that type of dining experience, however even if you're not into "fancy food" the dishes are down to earth enough for anyone to enjoy. Food was excellent and prepared spectacularly. Highly recommended.    [15 Dec 2004 13:21:17]

Great Place
I have considerable travel experience and have dined at many of the nation's top restaurants. Zoota's holds its own with those near the very top. the atmosphere is nice but not fancy. There is no wine list (it's bring-your-own). But I go to restaurants to have my palate pampered and it is difficult to find fault with either the quality or preparation and presentation of the food here. It won't remain hidden very long.    [12 Feb 2005 16:37:08]

Disappointing
My wife and I ate at Zoota after hearing great word of mouth. Well, we were both mightily disappointed. The restaurant was not full - only 3 tables filled when we arrived at 7:30 pm, but we were seated at a very uncomfortable table.

We waited 15 minutes for our server to take our order, and another half hour until our appetizers arrived. Both dishes - a pasta filled with duck confit and a crab custard on potato and chive cake - arrived cold, with very little flavor. After another wait, the main courses we ordered we not great, either. My salmon over potatoes and swiss chard was tasty, but cold. My wife's medium rare duck was tough and flavorless. All in all, a poor value.    [11 Dec 2005 13:08:44]

A Hidden Treasure
We have been to Zoota's several times and each time has been a culinary treat. The periodic change of menu is great, you don't get bored with menu choices when you frequent an establishment. The taste, quality and presentation of the food is superb. It's also makes for an enjoyable dining experience when the server is pleasant and attentive. The server has complete knowledge of menu items and we have relied on his suggestions. The wonderful food, great service and relaxed atmosphere all make for a delightful dining experience. A true hidden treasure!    [16 Dec 2005 13:05:06]

Finally - Great Food and Good Service
We dine out frequently and were pleasantly surprised to find excellent food and presentation, with professional waitstaff who actually know the menu. The chef is creative, and we highly recommend.    [01 Feb 2006 20:30:52]

Good Enough for a Return Trip
I've enjoyed dinner here twice with friends -- and I do mean enjoyed. There is just one waiter, 10 tables, in a little bit of a streetside fishbowl overlooking the free bridge -- not a place for big parties! But the food has been excellent on both visits -- venison tenderloins, scallops, pasta, salads all good. My only suggestion is they need better ventilation; the kitchen smells tend to linger in the small space!    [23 Mar 2006 13:35:08]
