Superior New ownership and name change. Execllent flavours at very fair prices. Even better than its neighbor "Crown of India". Only problem is they play the music too loud, but will turn it down when you ask. They have all the basics, plus a few surprises. [28 Oct 2002 10:17:00]

Take Out Their Take out food is excellent. in taste and in quantity (at least for me). Taste is just right. They adjust the level of spicyness too, it not just "hotness" that they adjust. [13 Feb 2004 19:30:12]

Disgusting The food is disgusting. If your palate has any discrimination, don't go here. [06 Apr 2004 10:22:52]

Owner has no manners whatsoever One saturday myself and my daughter went for the buffet. My daughter is 13 years old. She accidentally spilled a few teaspoons of curry on the table cloth. The owner (the short man with turban) came to our table and told us that we don't know how to eat at restaurants, and we should pay to get the table cloth cleaned. [15 Feb 2005 16:33:53]

Excellent food Fantastic food. Great service. I just found this place about a week ago, and have already been once for dinner and once for take-out dinner. I haven't tried the buffet, so I can't recommend it or not, but the dinner and take-out is exceptional and reasonably priced (about $12-$15 per person). [16 Mar 2005 17:06:10]

My husband and I love to have take-out from this inexpensive indian delight on weekends. The people who work there are very nice. Excellent food! [04 Dec 2005 00:03:57]

new ownership I went for dinner buffet with my family. They closed all burner to warm the food at about 9:30pm. When we ask to warm the food, they made faces. They were lazy didn't wanted to do anything. I will never go again. [18 May 2006 19:43:42]

I would not go again Terrible service. Our waiter said he is the new owner. It was apparent to us that he has never waited on tables. We had to flag him down for service all the time... order, water, even plates! The food was mediocre: the only tasty thing was the garlic naan. Our friend spotted a mouse running on the floor by the front door as we were dining. I was grossed out by the owner, who was also the server, sitting in plain sight of us, massaging his bare foot. We all agreed that this place would not last long. [29 Jul 2007 22:20:28]

New Ownership - great food! I had not been to this restaurant in about 3 years - but now I've been four times in two weeks. The vegetable thali is great and you can choose your favorites. It's under new management and they are accommodating to requests. The diwane hande is very good as are all the vegetables I have tried. My husband likes the dry tandoori chicken, but a friend liked the chicken masala. It's very good for the price and has a large menu. But kudos really go to the 'cook' whoever he/she is. It's a vast improvement over what used to be there.
I recommend it, especially if you live in the area - it's closer than Udipi's which is also very good and vegetarian. I have spent a lot of time in India in the past and love Indian food, and I am so happy I found this place. Note: the masala tea isn't so great. I have not tried a lot of things, but I like what I've had especially the vegetable thali which is on the 'Specialties' page. (I'm vegetarian). [28 Oct 2007 17:27:16]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: vegetable thali, diwane hande, the okra, aloo gobi, muttar paneer, nan, (the appetizer dosa looks a little strange but has a good taste and is small)
