TRY THIS PLACE
There are 2 ways to eat at Red's:
Outside, family style, where you place an order (more fast food style) and they call you when it is ready. It's good for families or younger types who want to bring a cooler of beer or something (its BYOB).
Upstairs inside is a different story. Don't expect much for ambiance. It's like a mom & pop joint, but the food is Fresh & Superb. You will not be disapointed. Casual Dress is fine. Inside is moderately air conditioned and outside is tented on a dock and can get quite warm in summer.
The service is fantastic. They are right there (it's a small place) but not pushy. Lobster is done right every time and their specials are fabulous.    [17 Aug 2006 13:20:38]

Changed My Mind
I went back with a party of 6. They WILL NOT SEAT YOU if you have 6 people. OK, it's a small place... we were more than happy to take a table of 4 and a table of 2. We were advised that they CANNOT guarantee the tables will be timely and one party may wait. We were fine with that. After much heated debate the hostess finally relented but made a point of glaring and staring at us as we waited, she was clearly upset. this begs the question of WHY?

We left and will never, ever be back. Quirky, annoying, hostile.

I was advised that the hostess is an owner and with that kind of senseless illogical attitude, it makes me wonder how other things are run there.    [28 Aug 2006 11:56:06]

It's true
I don't know what goes on there but some of the staff are really hostile and strange.

The food is OK, but bland and boring. I would not recommend eating here.    [23 Apr 2007 13:01:14]

Great foood!
I have lived in Point Pleasant all my life and this is truly the best seafood restaurant in the area. Its a great place to eat with great service. The owners goal is to satisfy the customers and they do a great job with it!    [03 Mar 2008 01:33:20]
