One of Princeton's Best This is THE place in the Princeton area for great seafood. The preparation is simple, flavorful, and elegant. It's all about the fish... no heavy or strongly flavored sauces to hide the fresh flavors. There is a "regular" menu, and an even longer "specials" menu which changes almost daily, depending on what type of seafood is available at the moment.
Service is friendly and knowledgeable (we noticed that they have basically the same waitstaff since it opened). [06 Aug 2002 14:13:14]

Ugh, they don't know how to cook Seafood. Passing by daily, I was curious to see why the Grill was always jampacked with customers. So I made a reservation one night, and had to wait 30 minutes. I was eagerly anticipating the food, but was sorely disappointed. The service was fine, but considering the prices charged, the food was very mediocre. They certainly sound very tantalizing on the menu, but aren't so great afterwards.
For instance, the starting bread slices they serve are cold. Secondly, I ordered a grilled black bass. That was also served cold. Thirdly, none of the dishes have any sauces. They're served plain, grilled (or deep fried), with just a lemon, cole slaw, and potato. Hello, what about sauces?
I was expecting more. On the plus side, their brussel sprouts were very well cooked, and tender. [07 Jan 2006 23:20:12]

TASTELESS I recently dined there with a party of six. We had an assortment of seafood, with clams, osyters, shrimp, crab, all that tasted ok. We all had different dinners, but were just plain -- no sauce, just plain butter. Skippped dessert. Three out of six of us got sick that night. So, needless to say, we won't be back.
