Excellent Pizza Thin, crunchy crust. Not your typical pizza-joint-pizza. Friendly bar/tavern atmosphere, fast & friendly service. I say the best in the Princeton area, but go to Trenton for the really good stuff! [20 Nov 2002 15:18:23]

Conte's vs. NYC pizza I live in New York City, was born in Queens, but grew up in Princeton, and I will put Conte's Pizza up against the best New York has to offer. Their pizza in incredible...from the sauce to the cheese to the crust it's all GREAT!!! [30 Dec 2002 15:43:24]

Conte's has some of the best pizza in NJ This pizza really is phenomenal. My boyfriend is something of a pizza buff having grown up on pizza in Northeast PA, and he and I both really love Conte's. It is both unique and yet classic. The sauce has a great taste and the cheese is always perfect. [16 Jan 2004 15:16:11]

Tops in Pizza I have to agree with most of the other reviewers in saying that Conte's is the best pizza in New Jersey. I have been going there with my parents since I was little and I still have not had a better pizza (although Pete and Elda's in Neptune may tie them). Frankly, I could eat their pizza everyday and never get tired of it. Not to mention the service and ambience are perfect for a casual night of pizza. [15 Jul 2004 11:52:49]

The Best Pizza (in the World) Go to Princeton. Go to Conte's. Eat the Pizza. You'll go back, again and again and again. [13 Jan 2006 17:11:30]

Are you people crazy? Been to Conte's twice, and each time I came away itching. Seriously, I came away itching all over my arms and legs. I must have an allergy to horrendously over-hyped, bland, greasy food. I had heard from the whole town that if you want pizza, there is only one place. Well, I need to check the address again, cause I must have been to an imposter. [29 Jan 2006 18:49:53]

Enjoy some great pizza at a longstanding local establishment Conte's is located a minute or two outside of the heart of Princeton, New Jersey, and delivers the goods when it comes to a truly local pizza experience. My brother and I have eaten pizza all of the USA, London, and Holland and everytime we travel, we enjoy the challenge of finding some really great local food, pizza always included! And while we wouldn't put Conte's on my top five list of All Time Best Pizza, Conte's delivers a great tasting pie. The pie is made with a moderately thin crust and just the right amount of toppings and sauce. Toss in a basic salad and some draft beers, along with a friendly local staff who has obviously worked at Conte's for years, and you get a great New Jersey Pizza experience that won't disappoint! It's good... but it's no DeLorenzo's Very good pizza. But, the DeLorenzo's in Trenton has a better flavored sauce and the toppings and crust are a little better.
However, not taking anything away from Conte's... we will return. [18 Jan 2007 11:16:19]

Best by Default Conte's is great pizza but better is the now defunct Sunrise of Bayonne and DeLorenzo's of Trenton. But regarding DeLorenzo's, they have no bathroom! How you going to bring kids there without a toilet? And the wait can be forever. [04 Jun 2007 15:24:56]
