Overpriced, but good food The place that likes to think of itself as an "institution" has pretty good food and great service, if you're willing to pay a bit of a premium (on the plus side, the portions will certainly leave you satisfied). A great Sunday brunch as well, although nothing to wait in line for. [01 Sep 2003 20:56:35]

I Love PJs!!! I grew up going to PJs after church on Sundays. After moving out of state, going to college and getting a job, I found myself back in the neighborhood for the afternoon and I just had to stop at PJs. The silver dollar pancakes and hot chocolate are exactly as I remembered them back in 1985 when I was 9. My name is on a few of those tables from back when I was a kid. Now it seems the tables are hardened so only the sharpest of knives will cut them anymore. No matter. Some things never change and I'm glad I can "come home" and find PJs just as I remember it. Let's not do lunch PJ's is good for what it is famous for: breakfast. I was always happy with the better than diner breakfasts. Once it was later and I decided to get lunch. Big mistake. Poor preparation. I guess they only know how to do breakfast well, so just stick with that. A bit crowded. Well, very crowded, but okay as long as you know what you're getting yourself into. Poor food, AWFUL service The food here is mediocre at best -- the only decent item on the menu is the fish and chips, which is very good. The pancakes and sub-par, and EXTREMELY overpriced; this is clearly a tourist trap, or somewhere catering to older Princetonians' nostalgia.
I have visited here a few times, but the last two times the service was appalling. In fact, the last time my wife and I went there the mainly teenage staff ignored us for twenty minutes while chatting together. We left at that point, notifying the manager who couldn't seem to care less.
Avoid! [08 Feb 2008 21:33:25]
