Bad food and service I don't really understand the reason this is called a Thai restaurant. In my opinion, they serve Chinese food, and of very bad quality. Also, not too much space. [11 Aug 2003 15:35:00]

Vegetarian dishes are very good Since I'm a vegetarian, I've only had 3 dishes there. One is pad thai, the other is vegetables, with red curry sauce and curry (don't remember the name). A third was an eggplant dish. The first two mentioned were very good, the eggplant dish was good. Portions are quite large. Service is fine by me. I don't know what the heck the other reviewer is talking about ..... [12 Aug 2003 18:56:57]

Disgusting I was craving Pad Thai, so a friend and I went to Thai Village on a Friday afternoon. The servers make no secret of the fact that they can't wait to clear tables and get you out of there. I found it to be awfully imposing and made us feel like intruders rather than paying customers. The Pad Thai, while stating chicken in the menu, came with shrimp that hadn't been deveined (yuck!) and burnt eggs and burnt, crispy tofu. We couldn't taste the Pad Thai, or smell it, because all we could taste and smell was burnt food. I will never, ever go back. The Thai iced tea was delicious, though. [25 Aug 2003 01:57:31]

Love Thai Village My husband and I (and a bunch of our friends) have all been to Thai Village many times (8 or more in a year) since 1997. We love many of the dishes there, including the Pad Thai and almost all the curry entrees. Both our vegetarian and meat-eating friends love eating in or taking out from Thai Village since there is such variety. The atmosphere is typical of city resturants, much like what you'll find in NYC or Philly. We've never had a bad meal there and often use Thai Village as our "celebration resturant". Good Food, Great Value This simple Thai restaurant serves moderately authentic Thai food at a good price. Right in the middle of what is a charming food district of Princeton -- not pretentious, just numerous good retaurants -- Thai Village is a small place, but run very efficiently. Best food includes all red curry dishes, spring rolls, and vegetarian dishes. [21 Dec 2003 18:36:55]

Wow i LOVE this place. the food is so good (I've never heard of anyone getting "burnt eggs"), quantities are large, BYOB... what else can you ask for? Although it is small, the outside seating is nice. The room upstairs is also a great place to have parties. Fun for students, families, anyone! [03 May 2004 16:37:57]

Is it real? I am Thai and the only thing I can say is that nothing here is really Thai (the food, service or ambiance). The food tastes like chinese food. [18 Aug 2004 14:36:42]

Surreal Rudeness I can hardly believe it. When we were served, we expected they would be open long enough for us to eat. Within ten minutes of receiving our food, the entire restaurant staff was gathered in the dining room literally watching us eat, waiting for us to finish. It was surreal. Except for below-average fresh spring rolls the food was pretty good, although I agree it tasted more Chinese. However, the terrible service will keep me from going back. [07 Jan 2005 13:40:04]

Bad hygiene The taste of the food is just average, but their hygiene is suspect. I ordered a Palay Lard Na (thick broad rice noodles with vegetables and seafood with brown sauce) and halfway through the meal, I found a live wriggling worm in it. I pointed this out and refused to pay any tips. They got very rude then and said that the tip was for service and not for food! Will never go there again. [04 Jul 2005 21:25:56]

Not hygienic I am Thai, and last summer I wanted to take my friend out to eat Thai so we went to Thai Village. We had just sat down when an unfriendly staff member wanted to know what we wanted to drink. We ordered water. Then as we were looking around we noticed a waiter cleaning the floor and then using the same cloth to clean the table. Well we stepped out and I wish I had reported them to the Health department.
