Huge disappointment
Get ready for a shock. Difficult to get to. Menu offered 4 seafood specials, all sold out at 8:30pm, EXTREMELY loud restaurant (really can't talk at a table for two - have to almost shout). Our food was above average at "haute cuisine" prices. AND, please note: The liquor is watered down to, I'd guess, 50%. This is not an opinion. After ordering two EXPENSIVE martinis and tasting little to no alcohol, I ordered a shot of Vodka to taste it and determine the problem. The shot glass had BUBBLES along the interior (impossible with straight alcohol), and my girlfriend and I both took big drinks of it - MINIMAL ALCOHOL TASTE!!!! This is called THEFT in any book. I noted this to the waiter - no comment. Emailed the owner - no response. Wrote the liquor board - no response. Be prepared to be ripped off and waste your money here. I'm not a complainer. Alcohol was not my focus
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the South City Grill. They offer things I have not experienced at other restaurant. For the raw bar, they shred horseradish directly off the root. The waiter gave excellent service and the food was great. My wife ordered a chicken breast that looked like it was on the bone, but was not. The presentation was excellent as was the food. I thought the ambiance of the restaurant was great and tell all of my friends what a great experience I had. Unlike Mr. Lieberman, I do not rate my restaurant experiences based upon the content of the alcohol in their drink, but rather the quality of the food and service, of which both were excellent.    [26 Aug 2006 15:54:00]

Bad Food Tonight
We had bad experiences the last two times we went to this restaurant, so we'll stop coming. We're regular customers who typically come here twice a week, but it seems that the food and service has gone downhill. The service had always been superb.    [28 Oct 2007 20:49:11]
