I won't go back. We were rushed so much that our appetizers and salad were on the table at the same time. The table was being cleared while we ate. (Dec. 20, 2002) [06 Jan 2003 11:53:41]

The Best Place I loved it there. The food was great and the place was beautiful. I want to wish the new Head Chef Jonathan Jones the best of luck taking on his new role. Good luck!! [27 Jan 2003 18:50:52]

Horrible I hated that place, I went and it was the worst meal I ever had. The new head chef jonathan is was so worried about the waitress that he wasn't in the kitchen and that made me mad. I will never go back, and i will be sure to pass this along. Thanks for nothing at a very expensive price!!! [04 Feb 2003 18:22:50]

Last year the owner left, this year the chef left... what's next for the Barnsboro Inn? Hopefully both former Barnsborites are opening up something new togehter. We'll be looking for them! Things are going from bad to worse there and the quality is nothing like it used to be. Too bad it was a great place once. [11 Feb 2003 20:11:21]

Terrible A horrible dining experience. I ordered a pork filet special that was served raw! After the hostess asked us how our meal was, I sent the raw pork back and did not order another entree. The waitress was rude and never asked us if she could bring out another meal or help in any way. We used a gift certificate that was expired. Most reputable restaurants would accept this certificate but this terrible restaurant rejected it. Any reputable restaurant would accept a certificate that was 6 months old especially after serving the customer a horrible meal. Not this place! Don't waste your time or money at the Inn. Go to Philly or anywhere else. [17 May 2003 21:51:28]

Holidays My family has spent every mother's day at the inn for as long as we can remember but this is our last. We were so disappointed with the food, the service, and the general ambience of the room. Our server was very tense and rushed with us, so much that we felt unwelcomed and our food was nothing like past visits. The crab cakes our mother loves so much were terrible, and the vegetables nothing like the fresh wonderful creations of past occasions. We are sorry to say we won't be back [26 May 2003 23:59:20]

Okay, they should change the name of this restaurant... It is not the Barnsboro Inn. The past months have given proof of this beyond a doubt; the excellent service, refined atmosphere, 4 star food quality... all gone. Good-bye Barnsboro Inn !! [02 Aug 2003 22:33:30]

Not What It Was We have dined at the Barnsboro many times, frequently enjoying the exquisite crab imperial. About three years ago, a new chef arrived, and the dish was never as good. We recently visited and felt a bit rushed as the waitress continually checked our progress during the salad course, immediately bringing the entree when we had finished. The service was just adequate, but wholly uninspired. The surf and turf included a rather small lobster tail and filets a bit over-cooked and dry. Asparagus was served cold, probably due to the rather cold dish. Disappointing overall, but at least some of the long-term serving staff is still there. Now if they could draft a free agent for the kitchen.... [31 Jan 2004 09:56:39]

Okay, but no room to move We haven't visited the Barnsboro Inn for several years. We called to make a last-minute reservation and arrived to find ourselves at a very small table on the porch by the door to the main dining room, which was uncomfortable as people passed by and bumped my husband. The service was fine and the food was actually very good. Would definitely consider returning IF we could be seated in a better spot. [08 Feb 2004 06:23:37]
