MMMMm MMMMMMMm Martino's Martino's is undoubtedly one of my most favorite places to go out to eat. Each bite is a mouth watering delight that makes my whole body smile. You can't ask for a more fun, an authentic style cuban meal that is sprinkled with the delightful personality of everyone who works there. [12 Dec 2003 14:13:51]

Great Place Wonderful BYOB/Wine with great specials, fruit drinks, and of course Cuban pork, steak, etc. Run by a nice family. [17 Jan 2004 16:21:28]

Go for the food, not for the ambiance I can not say enough good things about the food or the service. I haven't had better Cuban fare except possibly in Miami.
The service is excellent, the staff make you feel like part of the family. Speaking of family, bring yours. [28 Jan 2004 15:47:33]

Bring back the paella Used to be good, now they've standardized the rice and offer it with three different meat paellas - quicker cooking, much less interesting than the old "dirty rice" of Cuban cooking, which they used to only offer on the weekend because it took longer to make. Now they don't even offer it for New Year's or any other holiday. Quality has gone downhill, although we still occasionally enjoy going there. [11 Feb 2004 10:19:04]

Loved It! This was the most refreshing restaurant in Jersey, how fun! The owner is full of life, and everyone eating dinner is dancing, laughing, and the food was great! If you don't see something on the menu, Martino will whip you something up. Just loved the place. [25 Aug 2004 16:36:37]

Trip back to Cuba Where to start? The food was out of this world. The four dishes we ordered had their own personality to them, all full of love and life. I haven't had Cuban food like this since I was a little boy. I try to go twice a month because it's that good. [04 May 2005 21:04:19]

I have been going to Martino's since the very first day it opened back in 1994. The food is delicious, although not entirely "Cuban". For example, the black beans does not have the rich flavor the typical Cuban black beans have, nevertheless the taste is still good and compliments a dish of white rice quite well.
Most dishes are "typical" Caribbean and the portions are quite hearty. The prices are very reasonable, although the atmosphere is quite plain... actually, a bit tacky. However, it does not detract from having a good eating experience and it is kept very clean. The music is great, the service is wonderful and you will never be disappointed eating any of its dishes.
