Monster Sushi & Steak
While driving through Summit the other night, we noticed a very cool looking restaurant on Springfield Avenue and Maple Street, right smack in the middle of town. Well to make a long story short our dinner was nothing short of fabulous. Monster Sushi & Steak offers a huge menu with some of the freshest sushi I have ever had. It seems they are only open less than 2 years in Summit and they are busy. I had a Summit roll which is tuna, yellowtail, salmon, kani wrapped in daikon . Really low carb and refreshing. It's not on the menu but offered as a special. My girlfriend had a grilled sirloin and it was very good and reasonably priced. We will be frequent flyers from now on.    [24 Aug 2004 15:59:29]

Bad Wasabi, Inattentive Service
BYOB, which is a plus or minus depending on what you are looking for. Clean, inviting restaurant. Extensive menu including authentic Japanese and sushi. Inattentive service, they do not take orders in a timely manner, and never refill beverages, even when empty before food served. Sushi quality is very good, presentation is average. The wasabi lacked bite and did not taste good at all, so much so that it overwhelmed the taste of the sushi, making the overall taste well below average. I travel all the time and try sushi everywhere I go, and have never had bad wasabi anywhere, so this is definitely unusual and unfortunate, since otherwise this restaurant would be recommended.    [09 Jan 2007 22:34:31]
