Mother's Day Sunday Brunch
I have had dinner at the Tabernacle Inn several times in the past and loved it. This visit was a big dissappointment. The restaurant was not clean... dirty floors, large cobwebs hanging from the ceiling beams, etc. The food was unappetizing, unimaginative, and not worth the $24.95 pp. Since I had brought my large extended family, I was embarassed and displeased.    [15 May 2004 22:57:04]

GRADUATION DINNER
I had dinner for 10 with the family for my son's 8th grade graduation. I've never been to the Tabernacle Inn and wanted to try it before I left NJ. The service was good, atmosphere is nice, but I must say that the menu selection was the pits and way over priced. In addition, the portions were very small and my husband was still hungry after his meal and I've actually had better. All in all, for the total cost it was not worth money that we spent there, and we would not go back again.    [16 Jun 2004 09:48:51]

Friday Seafood Specials
We stopped by on a Friday Night when they feature seafood.

The waitress was pleasant and described the specials and explained the seafood buffet. She brought a basket of nice rolls.

The salad was quite satisfactory with a tasty Bacon Vinagrette dressing. My wife had crab cakes that were nicely seasoned and were mostly lump crabmeat, with little filler.

I had the seafood buffet which featured soup, shrimp, Alaskan crab legs, several chaffing dishes and three cook-to-order specials.

We had an enjoyable meal at a reasonable price and received excellent service.    [13 Aug 2004 19:53:15]

Sunday brunch
I took my out-of-town family for Sunday brunch. The food was mediocre, the service was fair. Atmosphere - what atmosphere?

The price was expensive, even though the place was crowded.
