Teaneck
Description
Opened by David Nachman, David Sindell, and Kazuhiro Okabe, led by chef Yoshikatsu Yamashita, who has worked all over the world for the past ten years, including the Michelin starred restaurant, “le Castrum” in Southern France and the famous “Aux Bacchanales” Brasserie in Tokyo, Japan.
Features bistro fare with an Asian flare.
The restaurant seats 30 patrons in the dining room. There is also a lounge next door with another 30 seats serving casual bar food and sushi.
“Tapas-Bistro” style. The new concept is based on a fusion of cultures and ideas combining the little dishes of Spain served before lunch and dinner in bars and taverns with some Japanese flavors and French bistro dishes. Combining the two concepts to create a dining experience in a casual atmosphere, where you can order 2-3 small dishes, a full dinner, or just a casual appetizer to go with a glass of one of wine. You can enjoy our sushi as well.

Great Bistro in Teaneck! This restaurant is a wonderful surprise! The atmosphere was cozy and the food was wonderful. The chef really knows what he is doing. The appetizer of soft shell crab was sweet and crispy. The salmon was pan seared - crispy on the outside and moist in the center. The wine was outstanding, if a bit skimpy (order a bottle for better value). The Cheddar Cheese cake was delicious. [19 Oct 2005 20:10:26]
