Best value in Chambersburg-Trenton The selection of dishes is large as are the portions. Lunches are under $9 per person and the majority of dinner prices are within $10-17. All maeals include bread and salad.
The food preparation and presentation is very well done. And the atmosphere is relaxed yet upscale for Trenton's Chambersburg neighborhood. [25 Sep 2002 15:30:58]
Food: Service: Ambiance: Overall: Recommended Dishes: Any of the veal dishes are spectacular as are the seafood. The sauces are extraordinary on almost every entree.

Tight Fit! Food is OK, but this place is really cramp. The tables are so close to each other that I thought I was eating with the people sitting around me. Also, while waiting for to be seated, they stick you at the bar where it is even more cramped. The people who are waiting to be seated are standing on top of people who are seated in the smoking section. [13 Mar 2003 15:18:42]

Definitely didn't disappoint me! Being away from Trenton for 35 years and visiting after reading all the Stephanie Plum series I just HAD to eat in the Burg. Amici Milano's was a nice treat! The food was great and the presentation was nice. I liked the coziness of Milano's. The atmosphere was campy. A great time had by all. [09 Oct 2003 08:18:52]

Great place - Food is always excellent! I have been going to Amici's for years and have NEVER had a disappointing meal. I have brought many friends over the years who are also now Amici lovers. I have spent more time there when I lived in the area, but now go as a special treat or when celebrating a special occasion. Jimmy & his staff are the best! [10 Jan 2004 16:16:51]

Not What it Was Is the food good? Yes. Great, no, but good certainly. If that's all you want from a restaurant, then go to Amici's. You will find it very crowded, with tables too close together, and quite noisy. Having my chair bumped by the person behind me and feeling the wait staff ignoring me bothers me. The booths seem to be the only place uneffected by the traffic. I also think the menu is less creative than it once was. [13 May 2004 14:11:39]

Trendy fake Italian glop This restaurant bills itself as Italian but what it serves is far from Italian. Too many dishes are a mish mash of far too many ingredients and covered with excessively thick cream sauces of the sort never seen in Italy. Mixed vegetable side dish arrived with pieces of potato still frozen. Reserved table in non-smoking wasn't ready and we had a painfully long wait at the smoky bar and then were seated at a table right next to the bar, with all the smoke. Never again! Cute place Amici is definitelly a cozy place to go to for good food at reasonable prices. Don't expect a gourmet selection. At times they do have a million ingredients in one dish, but the classics are pretty good and there is always something to look forward to in the specials. They do have a tendency to stick you in the bar before they seat you even if you have a reservation. This is not a problem if the bar is empty, but it is usually crowded with visitors. For those who say it is close quarters, well, it's not that bad. You should check the cramped places in NYC instead. [29 May 2005 12:05:05]

Careless, Oversauced, and Smoky. Never again. The restaurant botched our reservation for the non-smoking section and put us at a table right next to the smoky bar, making us wait an hour and a half to be served. Menu contained a disproportionate number of gooey cream sauce laden dishes that are not typical of ANY part of Italy. My vegetable medley side dish contained bits of STILL FROZEN potato! Waiters were pleasant, but whenever (at our request) our waiter opened the nearest side door to air out some of the smoke that was sickening us, another staff member would close it. Unpleasant experience at a very disorganized, overrated, pseudo-Italian place. [12 Aug 2005 23:47:22]

Bon Appetit Regardless of when I have dined at Amici's, the food has been excellent and the service to match. The extra bonus are the good prices. You just can't get more anywhere. [07 Jun 2007 15:41:20]
