We eat and drink at Joe's all the time. We eat and drink at Joe's all the time. It's central to everything in town and the bar is a friendly, strike up a conversation place. Everybody knows your name at Joe's.
The Mill Hill in the name comes from the historic neighborhood that Joe's is in. A great time to come to Joe's is during the Mill Hill Christmas house tour, the Garden tour or the Battle of Trenton reenactment.
The owner, Denny, has subcontracted his kitchen in an effort to derisk the business and get some new focus on the menu. I love the Reuben's and the vodka rigatoni (better than Centre House's). They always have specials.
Joe's is a shot and a beer kind of place but local beer aficionado hang out there so they have a good selection both in the main upstairs bar and the brew cellar downstairs. Don't do what Michelle does and ask for frilly martini's out of her martini book, though traditional martini's are just fine.
Joe's is great for music as they have bands on Thursday nights and some Friday and Saturday nights (summer hours are reduced). They also have Open Mic nights. [07 Aug 2002 10:11:44]
