Speedy service, generous portions
This is a locally-owned store with the owner on the premises. It features speedy, friendly service and a wide variety of cold sandwiches. There's also soup of the day, a few hot sandwiches, prepackaged ice cream, sodas, and a lot of exotic flavors of chips. The daily special is always good and is an especially good value.

The store is fairly quiet, has enough seating and is bright and airy inside with good natural and overhead lighting.

Compared to local Subway stores the Brown Bag Deli gives more generous portions and has a much wider range of ingredients to choose from. It is also more expensive than Subway but you still get your money's worth here. Subway bakes their own bread and Brown Bag Deli buys theirs fresh-baked daily from a local bakery, but there's no difference in freshness.    [30 Jun 2007 14:22:22]
