Description

(in Premier Fitness building) This is primarily a coffee shop, serving "a full Starbucks menu" with coffee, tea, chai, espresso, frappe, etc. They also have baked sweets (muffins, Danish) and cheesecake. They make several varieties of panini, all on a sliced whole-grain hard roll encrusted with sesame and poppy seeds. The cafe has big windows in front and is very bright and cheerful inside. There is some outside seating just in front of the front windows.

yummy panini
Dolce Vita has very good panini made on a wonderful bread. The baristas are very friendly and attentive. Other than that this is a typical coffee shop. The menu is very similar to Plateau Espresso's on the other side of NMSU, but Plateau Espresso's panini are not anywhere as good as Dolce Vita's - Plateau Espresso uses a very thinly sliced white bread, and the melted cheese tends to leak out while you're eating. Excellent Starbucks
I really enjoyed this coffee shop. Seeing that the nearest Starbucks is 1 1/2 hours away, this "we proudly brew Starbucks" is just like the regular Starbucks. Yummy coffee. One great difference is their willingness to make something not on the menu, not something you see at a regular Starbucks. Try the chocolate covered banana or the white chocolate peach iced. YUMMY!! Their food is really good, especially their paninis and sandwiches. Great place to sit with your computer and just chill. Even better when they have local talent come in on the weekend and play great music.    [13 Jun 2009 21:35:38]
