This hidden gem is very worthwhile.
So I was driving through New Mexico last week and I decided to stay overnight in a town called Alamogordo, New Mexico. Talk about being in the middle of nowhere. I got a room on the main strip in town and decided to stay a day before I continued on to Phoenix, my destination. I drove around town looking for a place to relax and dine. I came across a hidden restaurant/bar away from the main strip that blew me away. Legends/Desert Garden Grill sits at the base of the mountains in a residential type neighborhood. This place was amazing. It was hard to believe there was nobody there. I hope this town doesn't take places like this for granted.    [19 Aug 2005 23:15:58]

Lack of menu items, burnt food
The only time we've been here I tried to order something and they said they didn't have it (the restaurant was empty). Then when they brought the steak tips I ordered they were burnt. We paid for our meal and went next door to play pool. While we were there our waitress came back over and asked for our credit card again because she lost the receipt. I was a little leery of this, but it turns out we weren't charged twice. I would expect more from a restaurant that I thought was supposed to be classier.    [12 Jun 2006 20:07:13]
