I recently went to the Four Winds in NM and was served by a very lovely waitress. She was pleasant and our food came quickly. However, one of the waitresses at the table next to us used the word 'Beaner' to describe the ethnicity of the special of the day. If you are not aware, 'Beaner' is a negative slang word considered by many as a racial slur for Mexicans. My husband is a Mexican and I was so mad I couldn't even bring myself to speak to management. It turned a lovely expereince into one filled with arrogance and disdain.    [28 Apr 2006 18:29:11]
