Big Daddy is BIG!
The Big Daddy (a chalupa type thing) was quite impressive--one platter served 4 people, easily. The staff was very friendly. Good place to take kids, even messy babies. The staff was very understanding of our one-year-old. [16 May 2005 01:23:27]

The BEST Place to Eat in Cloudcroft!!!
Big Daddy's is definitely the place to go! Bathrooms are clean, staff is friendly and food is FRESH. All food is made fresh to order and the Zangos are out of this world! Hamburgers and sandwiches were a hit with the kids. [14 Jun 2005 08:52:55]

Love Big Daddy's Diner in Cloudcroft. We escaped Texas and spent a month in Cloudcroft. Big Daddy's was our favorite place to eat.
There is always a crowd, but service is great and our food was ALWAYS prepared as if we were the only customers there that day.
If you're lucky and the rush slows a bit, you can probably get into a wonderful conversation with Linda, the owner. She loves to share recipes with you.

Wow, what a place

A Must Visit In Cloudcroft
My wife and I had lunch at Big Daddy's.
The food was terrific. The service was superb.
The burgers, Mexican, food, and salads
are all excellent.
When ordering remember to save room for dessert. A woman at the table next to us
had the most decadent chocolate dessert I have seen in years!
Also for those of you experiencing "fine dining" at the Lodge: have dinner at the Lodge and go to Big Daddy's for dessert.
