Not so hot!
Service is slow, food is cold, people are rude. I didn't have a new experience there. Won't go back!    [10 Apr 2002 16:21:03]

Love the food
I have always loved to eat at Angelina's. Especially the old building where they had those great old West booths. The food is great and everyone is friendly.    [10 May 2003 17:33:52]

Great Place to Eat in Espanola
Seriously, there are maybe one or two other restaurants in Espanola that hold water against Angelina's.

I can vouch for the stuffed sopapillas, the tostadas, the tacos and the burritos. All of which I have had in many different configurations and enjoyed immensely.

Also worth mentioning for all you borrega freaks out there, Angelina's serve a variety of tasty lamb dishes.

Yummy! w00t!    [13 Jun 2003 11:46:06]

Best Red Chile in town
Great red chile! The atmosphere isn't as good as the old place, but the food is still great!    [07 Sep 2003 00:04:48]

Best Northern New Mexican
Fabulous chile, both green and red. Great family-run restaurant, will always be my favorite of NM food restaurants. Simple atmosphere, but the FOOD!!!!!    [03 Dec 2004 02:33:34]

I agree with the first person, the service was extremely slowww, the food was served cold, they didn't want to bring me out a warmer plate, come on how hard is it to bring two taco plates to a table warm? The fries tasted OLD, did I mention the service WAS HORRIBLE!!! Won't go there again!!    [14 Apr 2005 15:03:06]

Chiles Rellenos!!!
The local food here is excellent. Enchiladas are very good. The lamb fajitas are very very good and the Chiles Rellenos are outstanding.

9 times out of 10 the service is good here, but every once and a while you get a bad waiter and as a result your food might come out less than hot. This the the exception, not the rule, however. I have never found the staff to be rude.    [17 Oct 2005 15:16:51]

Lamb!
The menu is very authentic New Mexican food, but far more diverse than most restaurants of this kind.    [30 Mar 2006 17:31:35]

No Privacy!
Being born and raised in Espanola, I can tell you that for family affairs on my father's side of the family.. everyone LOVES and always chooses to eat at Angies. I, myself, dread the time of year that these days are on because I know we'll be eating there. For one, the tables are in wide open spaces and allows for ZERO privacy. The red chile has no taste unless you drown it in salt. If you're in a hurry to eat and you don't mind that kids are running around the tables, you can hear everyone's conversation and the service is slow.. then this is the place for you!! ps. Don't forget your salt shaker.    [17 Aug 2006 13:51:55]

A+ The Bomb
The food is authentic with great personal hometown attendance. Rumor has it the youngsters from the Gutierrez family are starting to take the low-tech Abuelo-run outfit to new heights without compromising quality. Good luck to them. I will always be a regular.    [10 Dec 2006 22:49:01]
