Good food, great service
I was in town on business and asked my hotel to recommend a Mexican restraunt in Hobbs. The woman said she'd really only recommend one, La Fiesta.

I ordered the #2 (maybe it was #B) that included a cheese enchilada with green sauce (hotter), a beef taco and a chili relleno. If I've never eaten at a place, this is the typical plate I look for as a consistant barometer of quality. It's hard to goof up enchiladas, especially cheese. Other than the taco having ground beef, something I don't find appropriate in tacos, it was good and not dripping with grease like you find so many times. The surprise was the chili relleno which also contained beef, something I'd never had in one, but good nonetheless. The beans, another item I judge restaurants on were excellent. The #2 also included a bowl of guacamole, the real stuff too, not the watery junk you find in a supermarket deli.

The thing that impressed me the most though was the impeccable service. I was offered hot and or mild salsa that was excellent. I ordered coffee and was politely offered refills of fresh coffee no less than 5 times during my half-hour visit. Most times you're lucky to get a second cup of the bitter stuff left over from lunch.    [19 Apr 2004 20:16:20]

My favorite in the world!
I grew up eating at this place! I have been to alot of Mexican Food Restaurants and it is still the best! All the food is great, the beans and rice are my favorite. The guacamole salad and hot sauce are also wonderful. My dad brings me take-out from La Fiesta everytime he comes to visit.    [23 Sep 2004 16:24:59]
