poor service We have stopped at Jamestown many times; most of the time a real thin lady waitress helps us; very good service - we do not know her name. However, the last two times we have stopped (it was at 4am) service was poor. The staff did not want to wait on us; I think she is an Indian lady who has been around for 2 months or so. Last time there was a young man; he took our coffee order, but did not come back. He said that another waitress would get to us. We asked where our order was, but he said that he is going home. He did not put our order in. The waitress came and said we need to get him to get our order. We sat there waiting for order for around 30 minutes; this was on a Sunday afternoon. We did not go back since. Just had time to let you know; it may not do any good, but I let you know anyway. I am a truck driver and owner of my company. [10 Apr 2006 11:03:50]

Watch your credit card bill! I have eaten here often and the food is always very good.
Service is sometimes lacking; but for the last two times I have been in, I have been overcharged on my debit card. On 6/14/06, I have my receipt for $10.78, yet. my bank has me billed for $12.94. This is the second time I've been overcharged. Management, you best look into this before you have serious problems with the law, much less dreams of repeat customers. [15 Jun 2006 20:19:27]

Slow down to 1st Gear... Everyone here was REALLY sluggish and there was only a sprinkling of customers. The skinny lady someone mentioned above seated us (she really needs to eat) and an Indian lady was our waitress. Service was slow but decent. Some of the best chili I've had in a while! Yum. Truck stop atmosphere with really cheesy gift shop. [06 Aug 2006 15:41:01]

Keep driving by....don't even slow down. The service and food has deteriorated to the point that we (team drivers) will no longer stop to eat. Last visit I had a steak quesadilla where the steak pieces were so dried and overcooked that when dropped onto the table it sounded like a rock. I was sitting so that I could see the window where the food was placed when ready, the food sat for 8 minutes before it was served. The waitress denied this but my eyes told the truth. Also, our appetizer was served at the same time as the rest of the meal. AND they ran out of both sweet and unsweet tea. It was 4 pm on a weekday. That's it for us! [24 Sep 2006 00:00:31]
