Unbelievable Specials The meatloaf is the best I've tasted. Ditto for the chicken fried steak. Even the green beans are tasty. Everything has that homemade taste. Baked goods here are unparalleled in comparison. [31 Dec 2003 12:31:11]

Great View, Homestyle Food The food is good, not great, but the view is pretty neat. Probably ranks in the Top 6 or 7 eating establishments with unique views. Definitely hidden away, not too many people even know the place exists. [08 Sep 2006 18:48:02]

What a restaurant!! The food is great. Menu is simple but there is something for everyone. The chocolate mousse pie is the best!!!! You can't beat the view from here. It's the best in Las Cruces. They should be open at night; it would be very romantic!!!!! [29 Jan 2007 02:53:16]

Good Food, Nice View, Decent Place Abraham's is on the fourth floor of the only "skyscraper" in Las Cruces. The view is actually pretty nice. I would recommend the north side with viewing out toward the Dona Ana and Robledo Mountains. Most of the customers seemed to be downtown working types and older people (40-ish to seventy). The two rooms of the restaurant are separated by the kitchen. There are booths lining the windows on each side (approximately ten??) and about fifteen tables scattered about. The tables are kind of rickety and old fashioned. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. The large windows let in a lot of light. The restaurant appeared to be clean and well managed. The service was polite and efficient on this day. But, just a couple waitresses were serving the entire place and it gets busy. Thus, the check was left on my table as the meal was delivered and there was no follow-up to see how everything was or to offer any refills!! I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak. It supposedly came on either white or wheat, but I was never asked which I preferred. They prepared it on wheat which was OK with me...the bun was quite good. The Philly itself had grilled onions and cheese, no green peppers, and a real tangy sauce that gave it a southwestern zing. It was not like any Philly I have had anywhere else, but it was very good. I enjoyed it. It came with fries...the larger thicker cut style. They were OK. The menu had a nice selection of dishes and I look forward to trying others. The prices are reasonable. For $5.95 I got the Philly and fries. There is plenty of parking around the bank building...not a problem. Easy access. All in all, a decent dining experience...with good food (not outstanding, but good.) I will go again. I particularly want to try their Green Chile Cheeseburger. They do have steak and fish also, and large specialty salads. [07 Sep 2007 16:24:56]
