Good Burritos, But It Has Its Drawbacks! Aguirre's Kitchen is what we might call a "little dive." It consists of no more than a grill inside a small Mexican Mini Mart off Dona Ana Road. There are approximately three little tables there. The place seems clean, but it is "not" real inviting for those wishing a nice dining experience. I would view it as mostly a "take out" stop. The two ladies working there were friendly and helpful. The younger of the two waits on customers and the older lady is the chef. Despite what their ad in the phone book shows, they did not have carnitas or carne molida or a number of other items advertised. Tacos and burritos were about it. The menu is very, very limited. Most cooking is done to order. I opted for an asada burrito. The chopped beef was grilled there before my eyes, and I must say, there was a pretty significant portion of it. Some beans, cheese, pepper, onion, and a touch of cilantro were added. The burrito was delicious! A great value for $2.75!! If basic burritos are what you want (along with low cost) and takeout is on your mind, this might be worth a try. Although the quality of my burrito was a four, I am giving the restaurant a three in the food category because of the extremely limited selection). Overall, I am awarding the place three stars (despite the ambiance being a two) based on the quality of my burrito and the friendly nature of the people there. [22 Jun 2008 15:06:43]

The most authentic Mexican Taqueria in Las Cruces! The place is literally called Aguirre's Carneceria (Meat Market) and Mini-Mart. The menu is not as limited as the previous reviewer has depicted. They also have steaks, Tortas, enchiladas, menudo, and traditional Mexican dishes like Chile Pasado and Quesadilla Sincronizada. You can also find all types of Mexican sodas (i.e., Jarritos) and Coca-Cola and Fanta imported from Mexico. The service was what was to be expected. They take your order and they bring you the food. The only thing that could have made this a more authentic Mexican Taqueria experience is if the soda was served in a plastic bag with a straw. :) [09 Oct 2009 15:43:46]
