:D The pasta was the best that I have ever tasted. I have been to Lorenzos but it was so uncomfortable in there, too uptight. Casa Luna was very calm and soothing, the food was fabulous and the bread dip service was a neat surprise. [10 May 2003 02:33:52]

THE BEST IN TOWN! Casa Luna is really the best Italian restaurant in Las Cruces! Great service, love the buffet and the pasta station. VERY reasonable prices- great atmosphere. [22 Aug 2004 16:59:45]

Not Impressed Went there on a week night during the spring. The buffet looked terrible; no one in my party tried it. Ordered off the dinner menu and the food was forgettable. Decor leaves something to be desired. Reasonable prices; probably very popular with the college student crowd. [31 Jan 2005 23:15:27]

Best in Las Cruces My family went there this past Sunday. The food was very good, all made there and not shipped like other places. The staff was some of the best I ever had!!! I can't say enough about them! I do wish they had some of the old menu items back, (I left in 2000) but all in all still great for the money. More people in Las Cruces need to go there, only one place in Albuquerque can compare. I do need to say they need real veal cutlets. [01 Feb 2006 17:56:38]

Good Food, Nice Atmosphere, at a Good Price! Stopped in at Casa Luna Ristorante and was pleasantly surprised at the nice atmosphere; clean, bright, roomy, with comfortably large tables and booths. The restaurant is quiet and comfortable, and you are pretty much left alone to do your thing. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. I was seated immediately and a checklist provided for a pasta bowl. It arrived at my table promptly. It was very good: linguine with a meat sauce and assorted veggies. The buffet was smaller than I had anticipated, but the fixins for a salad were very good and the pizza, chicken parmigiana, and lasagna were very good also. The marinara sauce was outstanding. The garlic bread was the only item I tried that was not up to par. Ok...so this is not the best Italian place in the world...but the food is quite good and the place is nice. At the price, there are few better deals around for a good meal-- quick and painless! If you are not concerned with making an impression on a special someone, or having the best Italian food the culinary industry has to offer, or you simply want a good meal at an affordable price, the Casa Luna is a good bet for a decent meal, in a decent atmosphere, at a great price. That is why it has survived so long-- it fills a special niche. I am rating it a four overall because the food is good and a great value. [08 May 2006 20:24:03]

SUPER!!! The atmosphere was very nice for a place if you're looking for a nice quiet place to think or study vs. Lorenzo's with their *sardine can* feel as well as it being a bit noisy. I have eaten at both Lorenzo's and Casa Luna before and have found the food at Casa Luna to be better tasting. While your mileage may vary, I think any place where you can pop a coin into a working mini-jukebox by your table and feel so comfortable that a family of 4 will actually do the arm moves to "Walk like an Egyptian" along with you is a good place to be. The service is prompt and if for some reason they can't deliver, they do their very best to fix the situation. The salad selection is better than you'd find at Pizza Hut and always fresh. The Fettatini Alfredo is much better than Lorenzo's (which I always found rather flat in taste.) The Spaghetti's good too! [14 Jan 2007 04:44:18]
