Nice all-around Southwestern Dining
E2 is an attractive, clean, bright, open, and comfortable little place. Nice little landscaped yard in the front. Ample parking lot. Comfortable booths and tables. Service is very pleasant in the Las Cruces tradition. The menu I would classify as more Southwestern rather than strictly New Mexican or Mexican. There is a nice variety for those in your party who don't want Mexican food. Chips and salsa are very good...spicy. I had the tapatia and it was very good, well presented, and very filling. A light crisp flat shell loaded with flavored beef, green chile, tomatoes, lettuce, beans, and cheese with a little sour cream. Prices are not bad...about the norm. Not the greatest Mexican restaurant in the city, (Mexican menu is somewhat restricted) but a nice dining experience with good food (and nice variety) and service.    [12 Apr 2006 17:56:56]
