Hmmmmmmmmm dunno about this...
We were there for the big Billy the Kid Days pageant in August 2004. We had reservations for 6 pm. The town was closing up at 5 so we went over there. The doors were locked, with no sign up. People wanted in badly, had a line of folks trying to get someone to answer the door. There aren't any restaurants in town, so this was it... and alot of them just wanted a beer. Finally after half an hour a tired looking man answered with a plunger in his hand saying he was sorry that none of his help came in that day and he was cooking, waiting on tables and the bar and obviously unclogging toilets too. (Ewwww, does anyone else see the ick factor here?) Well I wasn't impressed so we left... We were disappointed, too since we really wanted an Old West dinner at the same place that Billy the Kid ate at and that Sheriff he killed during his escape was eating there when he got called out. What should have been a fun ending to a fun day was ruined by a plunger-carrying chef.    [21 Feb 2005 19:12:37]

A disaster
I wish I had read the previous review before I booked a room here. Arrived to find other would-be guests waiting outside. Sign was up -- look around, coming back at 7:30. There is NOTHING to do in this town after 5. Like a fool we waited around till 7:30, long after everyone else had gone, and the so-called innkeeper did not show up. A big "for sale" sign was out front and I hope a competent person buys and restores this place.    [22 Apr 2006 10:25:54]
